UPRISING: The AAPI Experience
publication + editorial design + typography
A publication highlighting the rising hate crimes against the Asian American Pacific Islander community in the midst of COVID-19. The project focuses on: dissecting the deeply rooted racism within the history of being Asian in America, the hyper-sexualization of Asian women, and how in the pursuit of condemning racism, acknowledging the experiences and stories of the marginalized is imperative.
This publication was proudly a part of Alice J Lee’s Between Two exhibition at Auburn University. The exhibition explores Alice’s work combining the Korean and English alphabet, interconnections of the Asian American experience, and in-between worlds of identity.
